Free program like ICQ that allows chat between PC & phone-without-wifi

    The phone is wifi-capable, but the the wifi is not always available. Is there a program, as ICQ used to be, that allows a 'standard' SMS sent from the phone, to be received by a PC (running Win7) at the time when there is no wifi for the phone ?

    If your phone can log in to Skype I think it may be possible, though there may be a charge.
    However, considering I have found you have asked this same question on at least three other computer help forums and an answer given on at least one of them, you can of course take your pick. It would have been nice if you had informed us that you have asked the question elsewhere as well as here.
