Trying to save an attachment in Gmail to a folder using Foxit Reader. I can get the attachment opened and edited in Foxit but can't figure out how to save the edited doc to my docs folder. Anyone?

Don't know what you mean by that. If you want to save a file that was sent as an email attachment, do that. Download it to your Documents folder first. Then double click on the file that's been downloaded to open it with Foxit Reader to edit it. There should be a save option at that point.

I assumed since I could edit the attachment and then save it. Now I have downloaded them and opened with Foxit, no prob. But they both have to be rotated fro reading, which I can easily do in Foxit: rotate -save. Then, the file dropdown menu looks like this: Foxit screenshot.jpg
Notice "Save" is ghosted, so used "Save as" and the only option (in the main part of the screen) that saves to the computer is, naturally, "Computer." But when I then open that file in the docs folder, the change (rotation) has not been saved. After rotating, I tried single- and double-clicking "Save" but same result. Must be doing something wrong.

OK, have you tried rotating other pdf files and saving them? Just curious because I assume you're using the free version of Foxit. This may be one of the limitations. They have a trial version of their PDF editing program available. You might want to give that a try.

I downloaded and installed Foxit Reader. I opened a pdf document, rotated the pages, and saved it as another document. I see the same as you're seeing. The saved document does not show the pages as being rotated. This must be a limitation of the free "Reader".

Thanks for that- you've kept me from (once again) beating my head on the wall.

What program are you using to do this sort of editing?

Thanks for your help- I did see that review- my experience is that reliable software is best sourced from the producer. Since this rotation issue has come up just this once, I'm going to see if I can get what I need with Paint and the basic Adobe PDF reader, both already in my PC. For the minimal use I would have, it makes no economic sense for me to get Acrobat Pro for a monthly charge.
