Folder Redirect - offline -- deleted file

I have 2003 AD running with my docs and desktop set for folder redirect and
offline folders are enabled for my laptop users. -- Desktop I have offline
turned off to save log in / out time.

    XP Clients

I also setup shadow copy and have the client installed on all my systems so
users can restore files deleted from network drives -- since all my docs and
    desktop are now on network.

This all seems to work ok and they can recover "Previous Versions" as needed.

I just had a remote user delete a file from her desktop.
She it working offline and has not been in the office in months.
The file of course is not in the recycle bin.
Since Shadow copy runs on the server and she is off line is there any way to
    find this file?

How can I prevent full deletion of files for offline users?

    Thank you,

    Adam

It depends upon when the last Offline sync occurred. If the file was created
offline and the user deletes it offline without performing a Sync between the
creation and deletion the file will have never been seen by the server.

There are 10 types of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.

    Yes,

    That is my problem.
The file was created and deleted off line.
In fact this user work primarally offline.
Is there any way to avoid dull deletion of a file when in offline mode?
User offline creates a file, pressed delete.. file not in recycle.. how can
I 1) get is back or 2) prevent this from happening again?

I understand the Shadowcopy options, but they are only good if you are online.
I need an off line method or I guess I need to tell them to save their off
line work in a different location, that seems like a copout answer.

I just want to files not to perminently delete.

There are a number of products that will implement a recycle bin for network
drives. Executive Software for example. I can't say how they work with offline
files though as offline folder are not real folders, they are in the CSC folder.
You can get a trial copy.
