    Hi Marsha

What version of Firefox are you running?
What do you actually mean when you say:
Does it not respond or does it shut down?
I'm running version 20.0.1 and have had a few problems with the browser freezing and not responding just after starting.
After a short time it seems to clear its self and runs fine.

I've been running version 20.0.1 as well, and just like Starbuck in post #3 have had one or two minor problems. You can always go back to a previous version if you choose to. (See the link below)

    Note: Also see post #2.

Choose your version from the list on the right of the page linked to. I'm still using version 19.0.2 on the computer i am using to type this post.

If you do choose an earlier version of Firefox you should also choose to not have it update its self. To do this with firefox open click Tools/Options and then click the Advanced tab to set your chosen options. (See image below)
