I've had Firefox for a few months and for the most part I like it, but there are times when some sites drag load worse than dial up. On facebook and other sites with images, sometimes the image just doesn't show up. I hit image reload and sometimes it will, others it won't. Also many images slowly crawl down the page when they load which is also aggravating.

But my blame starts to switch when I see both MalwareBytes Antimalware updating at a snail's pace, also Superantispyware version 5.6.1020. So I honestly don't know where to place blame. I recently upgraded to the top tier of service with Clearwire. Back when things were faster after the upgrade, I got a 10mbps speed test result.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I just rebooted the modem and things are loading lots faster BUT Speedtest.net gave me a result of a very poor 1.09 download speed. I don't think Speedtest is all there!

    Hi and welcome to CHF.
I doubt it is speed test at fault, or your browser.
First thing to do is ring your ISP and ask them firstly if they are having problems in general and if not ask them to do a line or cable test.
If the line or cable is provided by a company different from your ISP, next thing is to get them involved.
If no faults can be found on the incoming line or cable it may be a router problem.
I have to ask are you connected to the router by wireless or a direct cable connection, and is it your router or one provided by your ISP?
I have seen problems with download speeds usually being one or the other of the above.

Hi and thanks so much. Mine is a wireless service billed as having "Wimax Technology". It's definitely better since the reboot, reason I don't know what happened with the speed test. I can see the water tower and antennas from my window in here, so I've got a hot signal and line of sight. No routers involved. If this continues, I can get them on their site on chat or by phone. For now, it's doing better. Again thanks so much, and for a very nice welcome!

I finally dumped the internet "turtle" Clearwire and got the gold standard Suddenlink! Things are running much faster now!
