What's the best financial software for seniors? My wife does all our finances (bank, planning, ect.) but she does it all by hand. A former auditor and bookkeeper (ask your grandfather what that means), she never worked with computers. She never was a CPA, but she was good at what she did.

We had Microsoft Money, but she does not like it, it wants to do everything for her, giving no room for individuality. I understand this - back in the eighties when I was first trained on mainframe software the stuff we were stuck with was not designed for your specific type of work. It was cheaper that way, but it was way too complicated and did more harm than good.

I suggested spreadsheets, like Excel, but she finds that too complicated. I know i've tried Quicken before, but what I really need is plain old bookkeeping software. I'm not sure that exists anymore. I'm not sure I can explain it any better than that, most of you are probably too young. Any (very) old hands on board? Recommend A good senior forum?

LOL I consider myself one of the younger members here, as I'm not retired yet

My First thought after reading your Post is Sage but I think that's more Business orientated, I think

Mines done with Excel as you say, Once the Page/sheet is set up I find it quite easy, but I guess the thing is what your familiar with and what you want it to do.

Hopefully their will be someone of more help than I :)
