file extentions

    I'm having trouble downloading a file to my screen saver with an extention .nss
    and a couple other file extentions. Does any one know how to fix this. When I look online they want to scan and then pay to fix. Can anyone help me. Thanks Ed.....

    OK, can you explain a little more please? you should be able to download any file so long as your AV lets you!!

    but opening it is a different matter. as its specific a Screensaver file used by Incredimail Magenetic, a free desktop background and screensaver program. so you will need that installed to open it.

    so can you tell us what the specific problem is and whats happening please?

    I'm not sure whats going on. I finally got it to accept the .nss extention, but now when I'm trying to download the file. it keeps jumping back to the open/run window and won't let me. I just don't know. Mybe my firewall is blocking me...Ed
