Yesterday my PC crashed, a couple of windows were freezed, first thing I did is to reboot the system but then it took like 5 minutes to load windows, I rebooted again and went to safe mode to set up a HD Scan, but when runnig HD Scan it went slower, I had to reboot again, then the HD Scan runned again and it was recovering several files, but then it freezed again, I rebooted for the fourth time and now, my PC does not do anything more than running the first window from BIOS and that's it, then a black window with an error message "couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)"

I have the original Windows XP SP2 and i want to use it as a boot disk, but I can´t, can anyone help me?

You either have a bad boot drive or you corrupted it beyond repair.
You might want to go to the drive manufacturer site and download their disk utilities to test the drive.

Ok thanks anyway, I knew this wasn´t an ordinary error, I also wanted to format the HD and reinstall everything but that's another thing that my drive doesn't allow me to do. I'll do what I can.

    Bye.

If that is the case then the drive is dead.
