I am getting the following message as desktop loads: " Windows cannot find
'C:\Windows\csrss.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then
try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click
    Search.

I have tried to uncheck it in msconfig/statup in the hope that it would not
look to start it (whatever "it" is), but upon reboot it reappears.

I have also run MBAM , SuperAntispyware, Hijackthis and to date nothing
seems to prevent it from returning. Any guidence/suggestions would be most
    appreciated. Thanks

Csrss.exe unless in the Windows/System32 directory, is a trojan. The message
indicates that something is calling that file and not finding it. You didn't
mention what antivirus you have installed, but I would run David Lipman's
Multi-AV after going through the preparatory steps at the link below. If you
have use HJT to stop the startup call and it continues to appear in Startup,
something is respawning and your system is still not clean.

When all else fails, get guided help. Choose one of the specialty forums
listed at the link above. Register and read its posting FAQ. PLEASE DO NOT
POST LOGS IN THE MS NEWSGROUPS.

  3. So this was right after you deleted the recycler? Awesome.

If it is in the system32 directory it seems to be legit. So
    C:\windows\csrss.exe is probably a problem.

Have you searched the registry for csrss.exe?
