Error code 0x4397

I keep getting this error code when trying to install Security Update for
Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2003 (KB956500). I've tried searching
Microsoft for help but with no results.
I only have Windows Firewall running so I'm assuming that won't be blocking
the installation. I've tried downloading the update .exe file and that fails
too. Obviously, I've tried things like rebooting and running the update
before opening any applications - same result.
Can anyone help, please?

 

1. Uninstall PowerPoint Viewer (PPV) 2003 via Add/Remove Programs.

2. Install PPV 2007 SP1 manually:

~Robear Dyer (PA Bear)
MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002
AumHa VSOP & Admin
DTS-L

YW. Others have said that they were able to install PPV 2007 SP1 without
having to install PPV 2007 first. YMMV, obviously.
