Enabling DHCP for an adapter with link down

    Hi, i want to enable dhcp for an adapter whose cable is disconnected (link
    down) ,programatically on windows server 2008. The EnableDHCP function of
    Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration class doesnt work when the adapter's link
    is down. This task can be accomplished in windows server 2003 easily by
    making some registry edits, but the same is not working on server 2008.
    Please help me in this regard.
