email problem

    I have set up our Windows 2003 system to be a mailserver. I am using
    authentication for pop3 to be encrypted password files and it seems to be
    working fine. For outgoing mail though I seem to find the proper
    authentication method. It currently wants the windows account (user name and
    password) to authenticate. I am trying to figure out how to configure the
    smtp server to use the same authentication as the incoming mail (pop3
    server).

    Can able tell me how to do this?

  2. You should not need to authenticate to send. You just need to prevent Relay:
