Have had a roadrunner.com e-mail account for many years. Couple of years ago, for reasons I no longer remember, I opened a yahoo e-mail account. So far as I know, there was no link between the two accounts. Couple of months ago, I closed the yahoo account. Now, when someone sends me mail to the roadrunner account, I receive the mail, but the sender receives an error message that the mail could not be delivered to the yahoo account. Since they don’t read the whole message, they assume I did not receive it. Any suggestions?

    Hi and welcome to CHF.
Which e mail client or program are you using, Outlook Express, Incredimail, Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail as a for instance, or other client?
It may be one of them that is sending the error notice out. In which case any old files regarding the Yahoo address will need to be removed. Depending on which you use as to how you find and remove it.
