Ok, this might be a kinda iffy topic due to copyright but can I just say I am NOT copying dvds to sell! there for my sister, she borrows mine, scratches em to hell and gives em back so im going to copy her a mini collection.

I was wondering whats the best way to go about this?
    Rip - write
    or using 2 cd drives?

I have read a bit on the net and most ppl rip n write but whats a good free software?

--------I am not copying to make a profit please understand I'm not trying to brake any copyright laws but please feel free to correct me if it is!!!-------

I understand your plight. Unfortunately.. any copy of DVD's.. whether for personal gain or not is still a violation of copyright laws. Thus we can not advise on this topic.

Sorry about that. I certainly understand your point of view.

Even ripping the music from a CD (that you purchased) to your computer.. so that you can listen to the music on your computer... is technically a violation of copyright laws.

Again I apologize for being such a stick in the mud about this... but for liability reasons, this forum can't advise you on how to go about this project.

Help4me is spot on I'm afraid. We have yet to publish our new rules but are in the process. That being said, we will never "punish" a member just for asking. :)

We value our members greatly. Still I am closing this thread not because you have done anything wrong. You haven't. I would just rather do that than have to remove an answering post from another member.

Just keep Posting and we are here for you!

I gave misinformation in this post regarding the copying of music for personal use...
