I have always used SpyWareBlaster and SuperAntiSpyware along with MSE and Malwarebytes.
I have not put SpywareBlaster and SuperAntiSpyware on the last two computer we have gotten.
Do you think both are still useful along with Windows Defender and Malwarebytes? I have PLENTY of space for programs and will use both is you think they add some security.

    Thanks!

    Hi Patszy,

    By all means add SpywareBlaster.
It doesn't take up any space and it will give you an extra layer of security when browsing.
As for SuperAntiSpyware, this really isn't needed.
It will basically do what MalwareBytes will do.... so no reason to have the 2.

SpywareBlaster is available from a lot of mirror sites, but i'd recommend downloading it from the vendors site (for safety)

Hi Starbuck, the free version goes to 3 - 3rd party download sites. One of which was questionable in the past - which means don't trust. Majorgeeks is ok. This one is better in my opinion. Never had a 'package' from them nor anything bundled in an install wrapper.

I hadn't noticed that Javacool had sold out to Brightfort.
They are now using the old method of trying to get you to download a useless program just to get the one you want.

I really hate this way of trading.

To get the actual download without any of this.... use this direct download link:
    SpywareBlaster

Thanks for the heads up Catch_22

No Problem amigo. These days it's good to watch each others backs. The ebb and flow of these malware packagers, taking money from the advertisers means we have to scope it out to the inth' degree sometimes. There was a time I had a box testing just that. The packages that were coming from former reliable sites. Even some of the ones we enjoyed the most took the money. It's sad, but vigilance pays off.

If users would pay more attention to the "donate" on sites providing free services rather than thinking they are owed free software because they own a computer, this situation could improve. Years ago everyone gave when something worked for them and that is how a lot of intyernet software companies got their start.
