I have been watching some of it on TV and it is a true tragedy which has gotten a bit lost on US TV because of a different kind of tragedy in Arizona but is now finding it's way back into the headlines.

We have had a lot of coverage in the UK.
We had something similar up in our Lake District - but nothing on this scale.
It puts your own troubles into perspective.

Terrible! Wouldn't that play havoc with your life!

I guess, given a choice of too much rain or too much snow - snow, on average, is less devastating.

    :(

It is Terrible. I heard on the News yesterday, a 7yr old Boy slipped and fell into a swollen fast flowing river and vanished.
