    Hello,

i was wondering if i can still deploy Windows XP Pro (SP2-3) with WDS from
Windows Server 2008 R2. Like i did it with Win2003 Server (with RIS)..

because i saw a little bit how works WDS, and it use especially .WIM image
    (from VISTA & Seven) ....

    how can i do ?

thanks for the Help and infos

    Regards,

    Marc.

    Well I don't know about W2008 R2 as I don't yet have it. But on W2003 R2 you can
Sysprep a PC of XP SP<any> and capture the image then deploy the image. It uses
a WIM file but that makes no difference to the deployment. It changes how you
set up and manage the image but deployment is easy. I expect W2008 R2 to be able
to do this (I hope so as it is easy to use).

There are 10 types of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.
