Depending on how much bandwidth you are getting - Megs (rated in mbps) then that number is divided by the number of devices connected.

Example: Say you're paying 10 meg download.....and you have 4 wifi devices connected. So 10 divided by 4 = 2.5 megs per device. On a 2.5 meg connection you will experience slow downs, lags, buffering stalls and so forth. The only cure/fix is it upgrade the bandwidth.

To get an idea of your download speed you can run speedtest.net and see what it's showing.

Let run a few commands to refresh the network settings.

Open an elevated Command Prompt (Press the Windows + X button at the same time, then choose Command Prompt (Admin))

Type in the following commands. Run them in the order that they are listed. Above is what the command does and below is what the command you type.

Will reset the IP configuration settings
    netsh int ip reset c:\resettcpip.txt

The command to flush and reset a client resolver cache.
    ipconfig /flushdns

The command to renew DNS client registration.
    ipconfig /registerdns

    Clears the IP address information
    ipconfig /release

    Renews the IP address information
    ipconfig /renew

Reset winsock catalog back to default setting or clean state.
    netsh winsock reset c:\winsocklog.txt

You will have to reboot the system for it to finalize.

Did you ever go to the Dell site and install the Windows 10 drives for the network?

Very good advice from Rustys there, specifically the release/renew and winsock fix.

It has gone down some, it rarely spikes now. I'm thinking possibly it was a driver, not quite sure. But, all seems well, there are a few here and there but they are minimal.

Internet service (Comcast) should be 80 percent of your advertise speed. Comcast cable is one of the faster internet speed in the internet service market. Especially, when you're directly connected to your the modem. When you're Wireless, your WiFi will lose approximately 30 percent. Power cycling your devices can help cable to their full potential. Shut down all computers and unplug your modem and router from the back of the modem and router. Wait 20 minutes. First, plug in the power cord for your modem Wait for the modem to have a solid Internet connection. Next, plug in your router .Wait for the lights on the router (3 minutes) to indicate it has established a good connection to your modem. Finally, turn on your computer (By power cycling your network equipment can resolve many internet connection issues. Sometimes your network equipment just gets a hiccup and power cycling can solve this issue.
