deleting file from flash drive?

    Hey guys, I had copied a few drivers unto my flash drive from my main pc to copy unto another computer, when I was done all files on the flash drive deleted as per normal except for one, when i try to delete it, is is always showing "file is in use...", help please?

    Have you tried to rename it and then delete it? If that doesn't work, you can use Unlocker. This version works with Windows 7 and Vista, 64 bit.

    Just right click the drive in "Computer" and then choose format Mike.

    "when I was done all files on the flash drive deleted as per normal except for one" sounds like there was only one left, but if there were more he needed well copy and paste somewhere else temporarily.
    I try never to use third party software where Windows can do the job Cindy.

    Did the format [thanks] and strangest thing happened, I had created another thread here last week mentioning this flash drive showing only 8gbs instead of 32gb, now after the formatting it is showing 32gb.

    Wow I remember that thread and don't get why we never suggested that then either. A corrupted file can easily cause that as you know those things aren't the most stable devices around, more like just the most convenient.
