Not unless you have a dual CPU motherboard and that is unlikely.

Most motherboards only have provision for one CPU. It is possible to replace this - but if your system is working OK I would leave well alone.

If you are trying to speed up your system then adding RAM is an option.

Give us a little more information to work on :)

    Computer Brand or Motherboard:
ASUS - are there any others worth buying?
    CPU:
Q6600 at 4.0Ghz per core (Watercooled)
    Memory:
    OCZ PC8500 4x1GB sticks
    Hard Drive:
    Samsung - all the way
    Graphics Card:
    XFX 260GTX rev 1
    Power Supply:
    Seasonic 600Watt
    Lets clarify a little:-

If you have a single core CPU, it is possible that your MOBO is capable of adding a dual or quad core CPU, giving it essentially a few more CPU's.... while this is more in terms of CPU cores added on the same dye, the result/performance is the same.

The only boards that tend to support more than one physical chip are server MOBOs, where they can hold 2 or 4 physical chips :)

    Hope this helps
