You need partition recovery software that won't lose the data.
If the partition is recovered then you should be able to read the data.
I had this problem years ago and trying to remember how I fixed it.
Try the top download from here (Free) says it will do what you want.

Says "Includes Active@ Disk Editor tool to view/edit disk's raw sectors"

This is what I got after downloading the link DSTM posted about. I have found his photos and music and such. How do I save or recover this info? Being this is the demo version not sure if I have to buy it or not.

Be careful at this point, John. We are making headway.
You don't have to buy, I am pretty sure.

    Try this.

Click anywhere on the page of images, Hold down "CTRL and A" Keys together. This should highlight them all at once.
Right Click and select copy. Now you have them all in your mouse.
Next make a folder on your Desktop and name whatever. Open that Folder and click "Paste" or 'CTRL+V"
Now you should have all the data in that folder on your desktop.

I tried this already. I cant highlight anymore then one at a time. I tried the Ctrl + a . Ive tried Starting at the top and going to the bottom with the shift key and also one at a time with the ctrl key. None worked. When I right click I get a pop up.. Check out the photo I added. Also, all the photos are alittle blurry. Im sure if thats how they were or if its just because its in this software..

The screen shots may be from an earlier version.
I am sure a Youtube Active Partition Recovery Tutorial will have all the answers.
Most unusual you can't Copy and Paste.
