I've got a stack of .psp and a few .tub files - and sadly, without my old Jasc Pro software, these won't open anymore in any of my photo editing programs, including Adobe PhotoShop 7.

Does anyone know how to convert these files to .png or.tif or.jpg, please? And if a special program is needed, could you please recommend one?

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Mara,

I assume something happened to your Jasc Pro software? (OR it is no longer compatible with a new system)
Corel Corp. bought out Jasc in 2004 along with the distribution rights for Paint Shop Pro. I have the Corel
Paint Shop Pro version 12 (licensed) that I do not use. It is compatible with Xp, Vista and Win 7. You are more
than welcome to it if you like. :)

I can't answer that question but perhaps someone else may be able to help you with that...

A few years ago my Jasc was desperately needed by a young man who was going to College for graphic arts and couldn't attend until he had it or a similar pro version - so off it went to a happy home - gentle smile.

I would absolutely love to have that copy and shall send my address via a PM, Allheart - but please let me pay you something for it!

Ooooh, YOU are simply and utterly the kindest of people!! Huge gentle hug!

    Hi Mara,

I'll send it off either tommorow :) (if my husband is able to take it to the post office for me) :)
or Monday morning. (My daughter will run it up for me). I would allow about a week for delivery?
I'm happy you are able to make use of it. :snckr: (It's going to a good home.) :snckr:

    Absolutely not!

Hi Mara, I've read up on this and my understanding is that Gimp will open .PSP files. I'm a CS5 user myself, but I've just downloaded Gimp but I can't find a .psp file to test it out.

If you can supply a psp file, I'll check it out for you. If you want to do that, then email me a file, and I'll check it out...

This image converter should work at least with the .psp files:

    Code:

    Hi Frank,

First I've just met our newest Mod here - Ralph - and love herhim! Thank so so very much for your making this delightful creation - love it!!!:):):)

And thank you for your kind offer but was sitting here trying to figure out which psp we could work with but then thought egad, I don't know what they are - and would hate to scare you with an image of me - yikes! So wandered around the internet and found this site that has free psp tubes for download if you'd like to see if one of your programs work with them.

    http://www.tippey.com/tubes/christmas.html

(The quality of the tubes at the above site is, well, perhaps not quite up to snuff - but then again, isn't it wonderful that people are kind enough to share things like this freely).

Hi Alan, and thank you for being to kind to find those two sites! Shall dash off and give them a try until I get our Cindy's amazing gift - and my sincere thanks as I know which specific psp file has the image I need for my friend in South Carolina.
