    Hi,

were using Win2k3 as print servers and like to know whether there's
any way we can configure printing hours eg.. only allow users to print
to a specific printer during specified hours?

    many thanks

  2. Yes, it is possible

    1. Create a group, let's say 'Laser1Users'. Add members to a group.
    2. Open properties of your printer (Laser1).
    3. Adjust Security: remove all groups from the list, add: 'Laser1Users' -
Print and Administrators - Allow print, manage printers, manage documents.
    4. Select Advanced tab. Click 'Available from' and adjust time.

Even better, you can share the same printer with two different names and
adjust different properties for different groups. Using this approach, you
may allow, for example, finance department to print invoices in the morning
and allow engineering department to print manuals in the afternoon.
