I have installed Terminal Service and Terminal Service Licensing in our
Windows 2000 server but I get an error "This computer can't connect to the
remote computer. Try connect again. If the problem continues, contact the
owner of the remote conputer or your network administrator." when I try to
connect to it by using Remote Desktop Connection from my Windows XP Pro.

I can connect to our Windows server 2003/2008 and another 2000 without any
problem. What is the possible problem?

  2. Do you have "allow users to connect remotely to this computer" checked on
the remote tab in the properties of my computer?

    1. Any errors in the event viewer of the TS you are trying to connect to at
the time this error is seen?
    2. Did you add the users/groups to the local 'Remote Desktop Users' group on
    the TS?
    3. Run TSCC.MSC and check which setting you have on the licensing server
option. Try enforcing it to look for your licensing server.
    4. Make sure your licensing server is activated.

For more details read the guide I wrote about TS (80 pages, all explained
    from A to Z). Available at .

    Cheers.
