Hi, i bought a new desktop gaming pc with all the parts separate so I can build it myself, i have installed everything, ram, mobo, hdd, graphics card everything, it turns on fine the computer is all good except my monitor does not seem to do anything, but when i plug the monitor into my laptop (VGA) it comes up fine, so obviously there's a problem with my new computer, people say that you need to replace the Graphics card to resolve the issue, but the graphics card i got is BRAND new i got it delivered yesterday, the box was fully sealed and everything. please help me!

Hi Bradley. Welcome to Computer Help Forums.
Have you installed the Motherboard chipset Drivers?
With the Graphics card removed are you getting a signal off the onboard Graphics?
Any beeps on start and is all hardware compatible?
Try 1 stick of ram first.
Ram normally are in 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 slots.

    Does the system boot up?
Can you hear Windows Chimes when it is complete?

Is there an on-board VGA socket that you can try?

Glad your issue is sorted. Normally new Ram is seldom faulty.
Sure you didn't buy the wrong ram?
