Comp. Freezes?

    in front of my computer!
    Operating System:
    Windows 8
    ok so every once and a while my computer will just totally freeze and/or spaz out between two frames, I am a programmer and know my way around windows 7 but I still cant find the cause, any suggjestions?

    Ps. it happens often when I visit youtube, but it has happened on other sites

    You would need to explain a bit more, if it happens when your watching a Youtube video what are the other tasks/sites that cause this problem?

    To try and determine whether it is graphics based or just general.
