System 1: Win XP Pro sp3, Office 2000.
Ever since the 13 Oct update IE8 takes 5 to 15 secs to load, Outlook 2000
the same. If I don't log in immediately no toolbars/taskbar loads. The links
in email don't function correctly (about 75% work, 25% won't load the
browser, especially those in graphics, even in the same email), I am
receiving several emails in plain text now that arrived in HTML before (not
all mail, just some). Link ex. - Win XP newsletter/Links we like: 3 of the 9
links will load the browser, the other 6 will not load. They look active but
will not launch a browser. Copying and pasting the URL works fine. Default
    browser: IE8.
Immediately after installing the updates and restart I received a DEP
warning and explorer was prevented from loading, another restart seems to
have fixed this. Windows explorer now takes 5 to 10 secs to load also.
System 2: After updating and restart got a BSOD. Restart again seems to have
solved this problem but this computer is used primarily as an internet
gateway so I don't know if other problems linger.
These problems were not present before the 13 Oct updates, was there
something in the updates to explain this behaviour?
