Clients freeze

I recently moved clients over to a new domain, with 1 domain controller,
dual-hatting as the file share. At least twice a day, clients will freeze
upon accessing a network shared file or just out of the blue, resulting in
the need to reboot. Success has only been achievable by rebooting the
server. The only event logged on the server has been Event ID 8197, source:
SRMSVC, stating Getting file screen on folder C:\Windows\SYSVOL\sysvol\domain
name, "The data area passed to a system call is too small".
I recently disabled the teredo interface. Where should I start digging?

  2. Hello AnnetteW,

Remove the 128.146.1.7 from the DNS server list, total differe tn subnet.
What is the reason for that ip, i assume your ISP's DNS server because i
can ping it on the internet? That has to be configured as a FORWARDER on
the DNS server properties in the DNS management console.

    Best regards

    Hello,

I did add that DNS IP (it is the ISP's DNS server) as a FORWARDER on the DNS
server properties. I still receive intermittent problems.

  5. Is the server pointing to itself for DNS?
The client second DNS was pointing to 128.146.1.7 for its DNS lookup.
