    hi all,

Recently, when users log into terminal server, the msiexec launched and uses
lots of process which makes the server hung. Later, it takes a long time to
    log on.
    windows 2003 SP2 standard server

    How should I troubleshoot this?

    Thank you.

First of all check what is in the Run registry key for these users. It
    sits under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
Check RunOnce and the same under HKLM. That will give you a good idea
    for sure.
Also check the event log. When MSI stuff tries to run it usually logs
    something in the log.
