    That Cryptorbit is a knock off from the original Cryptolocker, created by some other hacker no doubt in the hope of getting on the free money bandwagon, it isn't anywhere near as strong as the original cryptolocker, hence why files can be recovered.
    I saw a similar article about it just after it was first found in the early part of January. I posted links to it then, here :-

    CryptorBit does not actually encrypt the file. What it does is that it corrupts the header of the file by replacing the first 512 bytes.

    Stick to the legit sites for references...... not these copy sites.
