    Nice Story,Barry. Thanks for sharing.:)
Great to see, there are Kind people out there, who love Dogs.
    Wondering why,only Chihuahuas?
There are lots of small breed Dogs, that desperately need a Home.

It seems that there is a glut of the little guys in California ever since they started appearing in movies. As soon as that happens everyone becomes a breeder. I doubt that there will be a show dog among them just happy puppies.

Weren't Chihuahuas originally breeded in Mexico, like the city name Chihuahua, don't know if they are as popular in the UK, I wouldn't get one, think I'd prefer a Greyhound over a Chihuahua, but a dog I'd really like to have is either a Collie (Think thats right?) or a Yorkshire Terrier.

Aaaah, the wee puppy can't even see yet because he's so young - cute!!!

And what a lovely story about the rescued animals! I have a wee theory that as part of the school curriculum, each class should spend a day at their local SPCA each year, caring for and seeing the sadness involved in abandoned and mistreated animals. Perhaps it would help teach all of us that adopting/buying a pet is not the same as returning a new coat if we don't like it or get bored. Huge gentle sigh.

I know this may seem cruel and animal lovers will shiver at the thought, but I think that before anyone should own a pet they should have to put one down.

also with the micro chip technology that they have now days anyone found guilty of abandoning or breading without a licence should be ..........

My mum has a long haired tri coloured chiwawa (I say it like that as I always forget the spelling) he is very old though now 19years (human years)

I want a husky when my youngest lad grows up (big enough not to be eaten by him :D)

I don't think you ever need worry that a husky would think your little one was a 'snack' - although, granted, even wee doggies can give a wicked bite - eek!

Granted I'm biased, but a husky seems to automatically recognize the 'pack order' and would literally give it's life to protect a little one in it's care.

The problem we have over here is when some people are told they are buying a husky but, in reality, they are getting an animal that is a little husky and a heck of a lot of wolf. But that said, even with all the huge warnings we have, I've had a huge furry friend that was undoubtedly mostly wolf/bit of husky mix - and one couldn't have had a better friend and she 'rode off into the sunset' with three little girls hanging around her neck and riding her back like a 'horsey'. :)

Gosh, Dalo - what does your mom feed her little four legged friend??! It's wonderful that it's 19 years old!!!

Certainly cute puppies :), I assume the food bills wouldn't be much different at first but once they are fully grown (maybe 2-3 years old?), by then it would probably go sky rocketing.

I watched this video yesterday, shes a very smart Yorkie, look how long she stands on her back legs - [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U910CBXLRs"]YouTube- Smartest Yorkie Puppy Ever! Such A Yorkshire Terrier Dog[/ame]

I wonder if BeeCeeBee Yorkie obeys as well as this?, or even knows any tricks?

My "little" Yorkie is about 5 times that one's size. However she knows the best trick of all; How to rap me around her middle paw pad.

Mokey sits, stays and comes (when she believes it to be in her best interest.) :D We also have a number of games that we play and that she knows by name. Her favorite is called "a punch in the nose." It is played with a nose a fist and a squeaky toy. (I guess you just have to be there.:))
