i have windows 7 and I go to the same type of forum as this one.

Have tried everything and still have to sign in,
including my name and password each time i go in.
I have cleared the cache and cookies, hit remember me
but even that does not work.

What exactly is the question? I mean is it that you dont want to login every time?
    Which forum is it?
Which browser are you using (Yes, it makes a difference).

To add what Alan is saying, my guess your are deleting your good sign in cookies as well as the bad ones, probably unintentionally. :)

yes, alan its the same set up as this one.
When i come in here i just post my name and password.
and im in, after i sign in,

    but in the other one.
no matter what I do I have to delete the one that's
    there
and put the correct one. with the remember me

then when i come in to sign in again
there is this same one , that wont let me in,
thus i have to start all over again.
    hope you are understanding.

    using mozilla browser

OK even though forums may look different on their face, they are all based on forum software of which there are really very few. If you can give us a link to the forum you are having difficulty with as well as the browser that you are using we may be able to guide you better.

OK, with Mozilla (Firefox) it will ask if you want to save the login details for that webpage, did you choose Yes?

    Click on Tools then Options.
Click on the Security tab and then on Passwords.
You should now see any passwords you have saved, find the website in question and either edit the details so they are correct or delete the details.
Now depending on what you choose Mozilla should either log you in correctly or ask if you want to save the login details again.

Keep in mind that if you leave any forum by logging or signing out you will need to sign back in regardless of the remember me setting on the forum. If you have the remember me box checked or ticked and you simply leave the forum fo go elsewhere or just close your browser you should be logged in automatically.

If, when you sign in, it does not suggest a username and password then you have not saved them in the browser.

I did try the" remember me " , and will check to see if that solved the problem.
and yess I do know that I have to sign back in, its just that each time i do that, it says wrong user name and password, thus.
I have to post the correct one again as I did change my password.
    Thanks BeeCeeBee!

Firefox should have asked you if you want to replace the password with the new one. If you ignored that, did not see it etc. it will not ask again. You need to clear out your active loggins using the tools and then "Clear Recent History" option. That will clear out ALL you active loggin passwrds but it should then prompt you to have FF remember them once again.

This is pretty similar to what Alan advised above.

I would love to tell BeeCeeBee And Alan
that I can now get into my computer with mozilla
and all I have to do is just sign as my name and password
    is right there.
    THANk you so very much.
    hUGGGGGGGGGS.
    I love this place.

I have gone in as you suggested but
cant seem to find the place to delete
the other passwords etc. in IE
AS it doenst remember my name or password.

and now could you please give me the the steps on how to
do the same thing in Internet Explorer as I did in mozilla.

    thanks again.

Go to tools at the top and then select "Internet Options" at the very bottom of the drop down menu.
In the "General" tab you will see a button under "Browsing History" that says "Delete."
Press Delete and you will get a number of options one of which is passwords. If you delete them you will get a fresh start but remember that will be true for all your passwords.
