Normally constantly tapping the Delete key on Boot.
If you have never been in there, then DON'T.
Get someone who knows what they are doing.
You would most likely mess things up.

well then I guess that won't be done cause I know of no one who can do repairs or that type of thing.
I did google the correct time for where I am and I was off by about 3 minutes so just did it by going into control panel and the clock and fixed it.
now I have just noticed something in my gmail. the time is off by an hour from the time in bottom right corner of my screen.
also noticed that my laptop is running so slow. it wasn't like this before

One thing you could try, is to run the System File Checker:

Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories,
Now right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
Type the following command, and then press the ENTER key on the keyboard: (the space is meant to be there between the c and the / )
    sfc /scannow

The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect/corrupt versions with correct Microsoft versions.

With the system file checker, it's always advised to run it a couple of times ( it doesn't always correct things on a single run).

Did the results of the system file checker indicate that it had repaired any files or were unable to do so?

You said in your first post "when I did a factory settings"
Can you tell us exactly what you did in the above quote, and why was it necessary?
Did somebody do a reinstall for you back then?

If you don't know what was repaired (if anything) ... the results will have been saved in a report.
    To read the report:

Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories,
Now right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
Type the following command, and then press the ENTER key on the keyboard:

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

    cdf15267ed91f2b2f5962b4583e97b57.png

This will place the results into a notepad document and will place it onto your Desktop.
Copy and paste the results in your next post.

Is this the computer you're using now to post threads? Or are you using another computer to get on the Internet.
