I have a Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and it will not finish installing Service Pack 1. It will install it under the Windows Update but when it reboots it states that it can't configure and reverts. Please assist.

Check the Windows update history to see is any have failed. If there are updated that failed to install, try re-installing them.

Here's how to check your update history:
Go to Start > Control Panel > Windows Update
In the left hand pane, click on View update history.

And Service Pack 1 (KB976932) Won't install either.

At the top of the page listing your update history, there is a link that says "Troubleshoot problems with installing updates". Click and that and try the Microsoft Fix It solution.

I tried to install as a stand alone and I keep having the same problem. It will begin to configure when it is shutting down, but when it boots back up it states that the update could not be configured and then it reverts back.
