I have a Brand New Lenovo G575-438343U Laptop with AMD E-300 DUAL CORE Processor.

This has: 2GB DDR3 RAM, Radeon HD 6310 Graphics Card.

it bogs down and cannot play HD movies in VLC or another program i tried.

So i open tsk mgr and neither the % or the ram looks bogged down both under 50%.

Any ideas where to start for this? Does this pc have the guts to play 8gb hd files?

more specifically , it freezes, glitches, when i change place in the movie to the middle, it will load an amazing picture but then be glitchy again and i don't see another full picture.

As a start download the latest graphics drivers from the AMD site here - http://sites.amd.com...on_win7-64.aspx

I've never used VLC before, but I've just installed it and found two options for Video and GPU Acceleration, go to Tools > Preferences > Video and make sure that "Video accelerated output" is ticked (this might be more to do with showing it on a TV rather than the laptop, but still worth using).

And then go to Tools > Preferences > Input & Codecs and tick "Use GPU Acceleration".

Then try playing the videos again, hopefully that should provide better playback results.

Also I would look at upgrading your RAM, 2GB is just about enough to run W7 and normal stuff but HD video needs more to get good results. Also make sure that when playing video that no other programs are active, especially Firefox if you use that browser. A brilliant browser but a real memory hog which can slow down other applications if still running.
