Can not share the printer

there two computers, A and B, they are in the domain, I set the share
printer in A, then I want to connect the share printer from B, but it
require a user name and password. I input the username and password in A,
but cann't see the share printer, I can ping A from B. How to share the
printer in A from B?

Assuming you mean these are two workstations, and not servers, when you
shared it on ComputerA, did you change the permissons to allow the user
account logged that is logged on to computerB to access the printer?

Thank you for answering my question. I assume you gave the permissions in
the printer's properties.

Normally this just works without prompting. It is possible there is
something else going on. It is possible that the user that is trying toa
ccess the printer is not a local admin and cannot install the printer
drivers. Does the user's machine whos; trying to connect, already have the
drivers intalled on the machine for that particular printer model?

I can install this share printer from D and can print documents, but it
cann't print after a few hours. The A's share printer is OK.

This is confusing. You say you share A's priinter, and can add it and
install the drivers on D, use it for a little while, then it fails after a
few hours? That doesn't make sense. Is workstationA being shutdown?

As for B and C, are there any firewalls in place, and does the logged on
user account have local administrator rights?

How about testing it by simply installing and sharing the printer from a
server? If so, does it work?
