can not open any application (.exe) after upgradation to XP

    Hi,

    I was using Win 2000 since now but today (unfortunetly) I have upgraded to Win Xp and my problem start

    My computer cannot open .exe files. (It tells me it is not associated with a program and tells me to fix this in folder options, however folder options ,regedit, word, media player says the same thing.)

    I tried every possible ways , even I tried to Roll back (uninstall XP) to 2000 but the option 'Add /remove programme' in 'Control Pannel' gives the same above message

    Please help me i need it very badly
