Browsers and other windows suddenly look wrong

    The picture in the top link is Internet Explorer.
    The picture in the bottom link is Firefox. ..... they won't look the same.
    Plus, the 'Theme' on the system is different in each screenshot.

    Hi SaveTheManatees, welcome to Computer Help Forums.

    I'm not certain why you have the black bar at the top of your Firefox home page as I'm unable to reproduce it. But you could try clearing your browser cache and cookies,etc.

    Click.... History/Clear Recent History

    Thinking on this a bit more, i reckon that the black bar is due to the transparency settings on the system.
    I seems that part of the desktop wallpaper is showing through.
    This is how FF and IE look on my system.

    Because of the 2 monitor setup i use, you can see the wallpaper on the 2nd monitor.

    Hi! Thank you all! I turned out to be some problem with the windows Aero settings, and I fixed it searching Aero and going to "Find and fix problems with transparency"
