if one optimize the ssd drive and keepsit optimized the only maggiority reason for the slowness of SSD. According to the SSD experts you need to maintain at least 15% of the drive capacity as free space (Corsair recommends 20%). Doing that will influence a remarkable increase in performance. and unnoteseble change in performance it will run in our eyes the same speed and the settings have a big part like

When you chose the Balanced Power Plan your SSD will not receive the full power it needs to run at its peak level of performance. This is usually not a big issue and changing it to HIGH Power will only increase the performance a little, unless there is another hardware that consumes lots of power, then it is strongly recommended to go for High Power Plan.

What setting in the power plan makes this change?

I run SSD's in all my PC's and all set to "High Performance"

    Hi Gimbo
If you don't see the power plan that you want to use, click Show additional plans.

That is not what I asked. I asked what setting in the power plan makes the change to SSD's. Each power plan can be customized and I would like to know which setting in the power plan controls this slowdown of the SSD.

to dedicated hardware control is the main so it can transfer the correct amount of energy i guess
not the slow down because nothing moves in the ssd so nothing to slows down

After an excessive usage of the solid state drive it must slow down no matter what precautions you take. That’s why whenever your SSD becomes slow and you verify that you do not have any of the preceding issues, then it is the time to secure erase it to recover the lost performance. when its becomes real slow then its time secure erase

    Gijoe,

I don't know if it is a language barrier or what but I have no idea what you are saying in the above statements. Can you try to clarify?

I believe there maybe be some false alarms about SSD drive health lately on the net. It's pretty simple really. If you start to actually notice any speed differences and if you have installed the tool that comes with most SSD brands and drive health says (unhealthy) or you notice your speeds have dropped when running something like AS SSD Benchmark, then it's time to run the secure erase tool that comes with your drive. Secondly I would use PartedMagic if somehow the drive didn't come with the tool or is an off-brand with no downloadable tool available. I say use the manufacturers tool because it's software was made expressly with that brand of drive in mind, plus your warranty may still be in tact and to err on the side of caution I would use the drive manufacturers tool. Hope this possibly helps someone new to SSD's.
