BlueScreen Error Pc Crashes

    Operating System:

    Hi Im running Windows 7 and am getting a bluescreen error. When i start the pc and login, shortly after It crashes with a bluescreen error.

    At the top of the bluescreen itsself it says "winkey.sys page error in a non paged area".

    I can boot into safe mode without the error hapening but not normal boot.

    The " windows has recovred from a error" box says:

    This Is happening after i tried installing windows xp on a external hdd, which didnt work, and i had to do a boot repair to get windows 7 to work again.

    Please Help.

    Hi,
    From your other thread and attempts to boot off that XP, it is possible there is some damage to the Windows 7 operating system that the first repair didn't fix.
    It wouldn't hurt to try another repair and see if it fixes it second time round, it may even need another two or more attempts as the repair system sees a fault, fixes it and backs out without further checks for other faults.
