ram is cheap, hard drives are spacious, how big should I set my swap file to
    be?
old rule was 1.5 x amount of ram but I have insane amounts of ram now, that
cannot hold true now, can it?

QUESTION: assuming I have more than enough disk space:

if my Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2 SP2 has 32 gigabytes of ram, how big
a swap file does it need, it runs SQL server

if my Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2 SP2 has 12 gigabytes of ram, how big
a swap file does it need, its an app server

any input is welcomed, thanks in advance!
