best way to clean marks on laptop screen?

I'm about there Dougie. I really need to clean it up. Thinking about compressed air or a vacuum.
I guess I could Google. Thought I could pick up some tips here!

 

I think Bass's idea is actually a lot more safe than mine. It is true that if you mix Vinegar too strong it can strip the coating away. For keyboards some are washable mine is actually an old school HP business model (just took this pic)






- and is not washable so on that I use canned air, and simply turn it over and hit it with the side of my hand to shake loose any crumbs and vacuum that up.

 

Yes I turn my keyboard upside down daily and gentle tap on the desk. Amazing what falls out.
Bit of a problem with a laptop. Just give them a regular blow out.
I buy Gigabyte keyboards for $10 here. Just change when the numbers wear away.

 

Yeah those gigabyte keyboards are great too. You already know I got this one free (lol) and where it came from. They are extremely good though I actually prefer these for gaming I don't care for loud keys a lot of the newer gaming specific keyboards have.

last time I cleaned this one quite a few cheese-it crumbs fell out!

 

Hey Dougie what a great idea...I never thought of doing that and just got a "crumb storm" tapping my keyboard upside down on my "unit 1".

 

I eat mostly in front of my computer as do most of my friends.
It is amazing just what the keyboard collects even in a short time.
Long time since I have sat down at the dining table for a proper meal.
Computers have really taken over our lives, or we have let them.
I have had no sticking keys since I got into the habit of a gentle tap regularly.

 

Ya'll would be very surprised when you take a vacuum cleaner to the keyboard....powered down and unplugged of course.

 

I'm almost afraid to try it, but I'll going to have to real soon!

 

I have a compressor I use to blow out inside of towers and I do occasionally turn that loose on keyboards.

I also travel with one of these in my car. Very powerful but small perfect size computer vacuum!

Tony I used that years ago on camera lenses and had forgotten about it. It won't harm the surfaces.

 

It's a great product. Nearly four years now I have been using it on all my monitors and they still look brilliant, Tony.
Great for the inside of the glass when photo framing, my spectacles, camera lens, infact it has so many uses.
I uses sparingly, and a bottle lasts quite a long time.

 

I will be looking for some of that product myself this week sounds like it works excellent.
