Backwards compatibility on the Xbox One now supports multi-disc games

    Microsoft is opening up more possibilities for its growing list of Xbox 360 titles that run on the newer Xbox One console. The company has quietly enabled multi-disc games — starting with Deux Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut — to work with Xbox One's backwards compatibility feature.

    This comes after apparent concerns that it might not be possible for the console to emulate its predecessor for games spanning multiple discs. But Larry Hryb (Major Nelson) confirmed on Reddit that the backwards compatibility team has found a way. "I can confirm that the BC team has done work to support multi disc scenarios," he wrote yesterday. "Be sure to thank the BC engineers."
