backup fails (0x800423F3)

    I cant backup my files, get error "A shadow copy could not be created for
    the following reason: the writer experienced a transient
    error....(0x800423F3)"
    Restarting my pc does not help
    Vista Home premium SP2

    Help much appreciated

    Boot up in Safe Mode (Hold the F8 key down at boot up)
    run chkdsk and full defrag to see if there are any errors on your hard
    disk. You can find instructions for check disk and defrag on google.com
    or live.com.
