    DO NOT use any 'free' antivirus. Free antivirus software are essentially demos and do NOT have all the features you need to protect you, especially in the age of Ransomware.

    I sincerely think that AVG is a memory Holger and it-ides certain things in the registry .I'm not really happy about used to be good a one point I find the avast is a much lighter antivirus

    AVG scan speed can be adjusted under "Scan Options" to reduce System Drag.
