Automount issue

Discussion in 'Windows Home Server' started by Phillip Armitage, Aug 19, 2009.

  1. I've a Windows 2003 32bit server containing two sets of mirrored drives (C
and E drives), and a fibre channel card connecting it to a SAN. In order to
prevent Windows from trying to automount the volumes that it sees on the
SAN, diskpart has been used to disable automounting.

Problem is, with automount turned off, when rebooted the server only sees
its C drive (System disk). The E drive is not automatically assigned it's
drive letter E. I have to use Partition Management to assign this, every
    time I reboot.

I understand that this is expected behaviour.

My question is, is there a way that I can get the E drive to mount at boot
up, perhaps through a batch file run at system startup?

I look forward to your comments and suggestions.
