Hi, I have a dell inspiron 1420 laptop, it has windows 7 ultimate 64-bit installed on it.

The problem is the audio isn't working on it. If I try using headphones, then it works.
Also looking at the device manager, I get this

Does anyone know a fix for this? I need help asap.

Hi Tommy.Welcome to Computer Help Forums.
Looks like a driver.Could be a card reader or even a motherboard chipset driver.
I would install the diagnostics program called "Everest"
That will tell you what the "Base system device" is that is most likely missing drivers.

The problem is the Dell Inspiron 1420 only has drivers for Windows XP or Vista 32 bit.
Dell does not manufacture a chipset or sound driver for Windows 7 or a 64 bit OS.
When did you install Windows 7 64 bit?
