I can see that happening! I've been bit so many times I'm getting paranoid and punchy. If I can stay here on CHF and learn and help, I'll be satisfied and happy. I have had 1000+ posts on help forums and been banned by one person that I disagreed with.
How sad is that my friend! CHF is going to different. I can feel it.
    Good night Dougie.
Thanks for solving this mystery Dougie.

OK Guys! I really didn't know what was going on. I guess Google knows every i we dot and t we cross.
Thanks John! I'm assuming that a crawler is the same as a robot. If you have a good solution to a problem, I guess you could get number one billing on Google. I had seen my user name before, but never knew I could view all my posts on a help forum from Google. I'm also assuming that my user name can only be used by me to register on help forums. So If I mess up one time, then that get's passed around and I really don't have a chance and like Dougie says, forum staff can check me out. Well I think that sucks!
I would like to hear more from Dougie on this; and I have some things I would like to post here on this thread, but I'm not sure it's appropriate. I started this kind a thread on another help forum. The thread got deleted and when I challenged a staff member I was been given a 30 day ban. So now that makes me leary to post about this. I don't understand the pop-up I got from Google while I was viewing Dougie's user name.

    That's not true at all.

If "donetao" is not taken at a specific forum, anyone could register and use it.

It's best to register at every forum you come across to prevent another from using your coveted user name. That's what I've done since finding tech forums in late 2007.

Yes.. your history follows you - not from a specific post in the case of a ban; rather by your user title (most forums will put a line through a banned member's name and change the user title to "banned").
