Asus mb168b+ not recognized (win 7)

Hello,

Win7 doesn't seem to detect the monitor. When connected (it only has one entrance - USB) it automatically goes into sleep mode.

I have an AMD Raedon HD 7700 and two monitors (30" via DisplayPort and 27" via DVI) connected.

I've tried:

-Reconnecting the device
-Downloading the files from ASUS site (and i'm pretty sure they were the right ones)
-Letting Windows find the drivers automatically (it wouldn't)
-Plugging into other (both 3.0 and 2.0) USB slots

etc.

Can anyone instruct me on what to do? I'm afraid this goes beyond my computer knowledge.

Something here doesn't make sense. If the video card doesn't see the monitor, how did you install and drivers or let Windows do it? Can you explain this problem better. Are there two monitors that cannot be seen? Did you try the video card in a working computer to see if the card is bad ()which it sounds like)?

 

Ok I see the Asus mb168b is a portable monitor and until a proper driver is found it won't be recognized.

Is your computer 32 bit or 64 bit Windows and did you choose the correct one?
