Hi DSTM ... I got Version 12 for free from AShampoo and download Version 13 and did a comparison .. unless I am blind, I honestly see no difference but I suppose there must be. I have used AShampoo products for quite some time and I even get email support when I need it... only problem is I do not understand German so have to use an online translator. I do not care for PhotoCommader - I find it very invasive albeit it does have good features. I have given AShampoo my real name & private email address and have had no issues whatsoever. Of course, they do need my full name when I ask for software donations.

Hi Snoopy. As I have said I have used Ashampoo for some years and when this freebie became available, I thought why not. Just does everything I want from a burner and supports Blu-Ray.
Reading up on Version 12 I can't see a huge difference.
I haven't tried Photo Commander as I have no use for this product.
Ashampoo have always made good software.:)

I see a number of post here have been moderated (as they should have been). When a Staff member points out a particular deal on software one can assume that it is tested and safe to use. This was not an endorsement of one program over another just a heads up on a software deal from a highly reputable company. Arguments over which programs are better etc. is just uncalled for and will make people think twice about posting this kind of thing.

I haven't as yet used any Ashampoo products previously, however I have seen many good and favourable comments on various other internet places regarding some of their other products.
I can only say this burning software of theirs looks very good in what the program offers, and now having downloaded and installed it, will be trying it out this weekend with a video I have. Needless to say I will report how well it works for me.

However another reason for posting about it is that now having looked at comments on the download site, it looks to have been on free offer for quite a long time judging by the dates of those comments, which go back to November last year. It is even yet still showing as free, so may be there for a little longer. However if wanting to try it, don't expect it to be there for ever.

    Nev.

Also if you were planning on another Computer in the near future you could download Ashampoo13 and get the key while the offer is still available and use it at a later date.:)

Try the link to the free version first. It still worked for me a couple of days ago. I got another free version for my W7 machine.
